Books for Development (BFD) is a book distribution enterprise focussing on the knowledge needs of Development Practitioners across the world.

BFD  caters to readers requirment on all aspect of Development Issues including Development Economics, Public Health, Education, Gender and Empowerment, Dalit Studies, Water and Agriculture, Microfinance, Rural and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

BFD is also actively looking to represent Development Publishers and Distributors in India and offer its marketing, promotional as well sales expertise in  India. We are well connected to Development Institutions, Universities, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and NGOs.

What We Do

BFD core competency lies in making books on development issues available under one roof . An informed citizen can make a lot of difference to herself as well to the society she lives in. Books on developmental issues can empower citizens to be informed of choices, rights as well responsibilities.

BFD also has tied up with a group of techies who have developed a cost-effective way of providing "Print on Demand - POD" solutions. POD enables small authors/publishers to publish and print books in smaller quantities which can start from ONE Copy onwards thereby saving the costs of printing large quantities as well cutting down on warehousing costs.

BFD is keen to tie up with Development Publishers and offer POD solutions at costs that are affordable.
